We’ve spent a lot of time in our homes over the last ten or eleven months. 

And, over the course of the last many months, we’ve read a lot of stories about the negative impacts for those shuttered inside their homes. 

So, we thought about creating an idea that could help elevate some of the more positive, wonderful stories of how the last year taught us how we learned to love our homes. 

All of us connect with the place we live in different ways. Our homes, in many ways, are symbolic of our shelter, a treasure chest of our life’s memories, a place we use to gather and break bread, and a place where we love to welcome friends and neighbors. Of course, during the last many months, we haven’t been able to do many of these things. 

But, that hasn’t stopped us from trying to make lemonade out of lemons – to squeeze a few ounces of joy out of the unknowns that exist off our front porch. 

We’ve connected with family using technology that has kept us closer when we needed it most. We’ve discovered new hobbies and rekindled ones we previously abandoned. We’ve read more. And we’ve whipped out old cookbooks and dusted off recipes we have longed to cook. There’s just something about a house full of the richness and smell of a recipe roasting in the oven that just tells you – hey, you’re home and where you’re supposed to be!
