Helping others comes naturally to Maria, and her compassionate act of service for a fellow teammate has set the standard for what it means to go above and beyond at FAR.
Just days after relocating across the country to start her job, a new employee and her family came down with COVID-19. While her husband and daughter could recover at home, this woman's case was more severe, forcing her into an extended stay at the hospital. This left her all alone and separated from her family during an uncertain time in an unfamiliar city.
Upon hearing about the situation, Maria immediately rallied the FAR family and began collecting well-wishes of encouragement and money to help cover meals--all for someone she'd never met. She ensured this new employee and her family received overwhelming support from the company throughout her recovery, greatly easing stress during a difficult time.
Maria's compassionate instinct to jump in and help is a prime example that "We Care," and her extraordinary service for another in need earned her the right to be named FAR's inaugural 10-Star Achiever.
