Lorraine has over 15 years of experience in the reverse mortgage industry and over 20 years in training, coaching and customer service. She was a top reverse mortgage originator and manager from 2004 to 2010 before getting back into her passion for training and education. Lorraine has educated thousands of reverse mortgage professionals and Realtors nationwide on the use of home equity to help people get to work on retirement since 2010. Her sales experience provided her with hands on knowledge for her students to benefit from and Lorraine’s use of humor and motivational coaching creates an enjoyable training environment. She is Published Author of Living a Rock Star Life and is a Certified Professional Coach. As a current member of the education committee for the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association, Lorraine works with other industry professionals delivering training at conferences as well as developing materials and resources for all industry members and affiliates. Lorraine is currently Vice President of Learning and Development at Finance of America Reverse and oversees a team who focuses on Training, Administration, Learning Systems, Technical Writing and Video Production. She lives in Northern New Jersey as well as Southern Florida and has 2 adult daughters.

The lender may charge an origination fee, mortgage insurance premium, closing costs and servicing fees (added to the balance of the loan). The balance of the loan grows over time and the lender charges interest on the balance. Borrowers are responsible for paying property taxes, homeowner’s insurance, maintenance, and related taxes (which may be substantial). We do not establish an escrow account for disbursements of these payments. A set-aside account can be set up to pay taxes and insurance and may be required in some cases. Borrowers must occupy home as their primary residence and pay for ongoing maintenance; otherwise the loan becomes due and payable. The loan also becomes due and payable (and the property may be subject to a tax lien, other encumbrance, or foreclosure) when the last borrower, or eligible non-borrowing surviving spouse, dies, sells the home, permanently moves out, defaults on taxes, insurance payments, or maintenance, or does not otherwise comply with the loan terms. Interest is not tax-deductible until the loan is partially or fully repaid.
